How Do I Add A Server Or A Device To Monitor?

Adding a server or a device to be monitored requires two steps.

Step 1: Add To The Argent Master Catalog

The Master Catalog is the list of all servers and devices Argent knows about. Once a server or device is added to the Master Catalog, you can then add it to one or more Monitoring Groups.

Step 2: Add To An Argent Monitoring Group

Once the server or device has been defined to Argent in the Master Catalog, you can then add it to one or more Monitoring Groups.

Monitoring Groups are the logical groupings used by all Argent products. Because the server names and the device addresses are not specified in the actual Rules, Rules can be shared by all Argent products.
