Customers have the ultimate flexibility to define how System up/down status should be checked.

The primary aim is to reduce false positives and to get a ‘second opinion’ from another check.

Note: The overhead with the additional checks is definitely significant compared to ordinary methods such as TCP/IP Ping or even NetRemoteTOD API with advanced options.

Argent advises customers to use this for the most sophisticated or vital server/devices — or on particularly problematic networks that generate too many spurious false positives
