Summary

System Down Rule checking SSH logon/logoff is not broken when SSH logon fails because of a wrong password.

Technical Background

Argent Guardian Ultra uses PLINK.EXE to test connectivity with Linux/Unix servers.

The System Down Rule is broken if PLINK.EXE returns with a non-zero exit code.

Unfortunately, PLINK.EXE returns with a zero exit code when the server access is denied.

Resolution

Upgrade To Argent Advanced Technology 3.1A-1307 or later
