Summary

SMTP email Alert might fail in Argent AT 5.1A-1610-A

When customer tests email in Argent Console Engine setting, error message is shown as follows:

The issue can happen with or without SMTP SSL start mode

The issue has been addressed in Argent AT 5.1A-1610-B

Technical Background

It is an issue in third party SSL library

It will fail to send email when SMTP server responses with self-signed certificate

Resolution

Upgrade to Argent Advanced Technology 5.1A-1610-B or later
