Prerequisites to install Argent for Sybase

1. 64 bit Operating System

   Argent for Sybase makes use of SAP ASE Developer’s Edition installation, which requires a 64 bit Operating System

2. Microsoft Visual C++ 2010 Service Pack 1 Redistributable Package and KB2565063

   https://www.microsoft.com/en-in/download/details.aspx?id=26999
   

   Missing this patch causes the installer to fail, and you see this message:

   “Missing DLL MSVCR100.dll during Install”

3. Microsoft .Net Framework 3.5

   This must include .NET Framework 3.0 and .NET Framework 2.0

4. SAP ASE Developer’s Edition

   Argent for Sybase uses ADO.NET Data Provider provided by SAP to monitor Sybase ASE instances

   The Sybase ADO.NET libraries must be downloaded from official SAP source

   The ADO.NET libraries are included as an option inside the SAP ASE Developer’s Edition:
