Summary

Argent Alert Mechanism has a built-in SMS Generator for sending SMS alerts.

However, mobile signal might be weak at the location of Primary Generator.

To address the issue, an Argent SMS Generator can be installed on a separate machine, where the good signal is available.

To install Argent SMS Generator, run SETUP.EXE, and select the option.

To use this Argent SMS Generator, configure the SMS forwarder at SMS Generator screen.

Technical Background

When the SMS forwarder is configured, SMS work order files will be placed in WO folder of Argent SMS Generator specified by the SMS forwarder.

Internally, Primary Generator must have access to share \\{forwarder}\ArgentAlertMechanism\WO.

Resolution

Upgrade to Argent Omega 2.2A-2307-B (Build: 2.2.2310.3).
