KBI 220248 False-Positive Alerts

False/positive alerts are being submitted due to the following Rules breaking :

System Down and SLA Rules, System File Rules, Program Rules and any Rule set to break if Data is Unavailable or Nonexistent.

When viewing the Scheduler_Engine_Log files the Relators executed fine for a period of time, then suddenly Rules start breaking all at once.

Technical Background

When this type of issue occurs where several servers and devices are suddenly unavailable all at once, the Network Interface Controller (NIC) could be suspect.


Verify the client is using the latest drivers for the Network Interface Controller (NIC) or have them re-install the drivers altogether.

If the production schedule allows, reboot the server and verify the False/Positive Alerts do not reoccur.
