Summary

A Customer report they are receiving more alerts for the same broken Rule than they would like.

Technical Background

There is a checkbox option in all of the Rules for “Post Event Even If Same Event Is Still Outstanding.”

If this option is selected, then no additional alerts will be triggered for the Rule until the initial alert has been answered in the Argent Console.

Resolution

A Customer may wish to only receive one alert for the same broken Rule until they have had a chance to answer it in the Argent Console.

In this case they should uncheck the Rule option for “Post Event Even If Same Event Is Still Outstanding”.
