All jobs sent to a specific Argent Queue Engine are abending.

Look at the Argent Queue Engine SVC_LOG shows an error repeated over similar to the following:

Failed To Retrieve System Information of Queue Engine Server

Technical Background

This is caused by the Argent Job Scheduler Service Account having insufficient rights to the Argent Queue Engine Registry.

The service account is unable to read the TCP/IP port information for the Argent Queue Engine.


Delete the Argent Queue Engine definition.

Use REMOTE / UNIX Server Management to add the server with the port specified so that the information is hard-coded.

You can then re-connect the Argent Queue Engine and the jobs will run fine.
