Summary

Renaming a monitoring group is not propagated throughout Argent XT.

Technical Background

When a Monitoring Group is renamed, the changes are not propagated throughout the locations that reference Monitoring Groups in Argent XT.

Example A

Nested Monitoring Groups. Rename child group &MG_SQL_SERVERS to &MG_DATABASES:

Note that a parent Monitoring Group containing the original &MG_SQL_SERVERS was not updated to contain the new group &MG_DATABASES. This adjustment should be automatic:

Example B

Relators. As before, rename child group &MG_SQL_SERVERS to &MG_DATABASES. A Relator previously referencing &MG_SQL_SERVERS should be adjusted to reference the new Monitoring Group name. Presently, this is not the case:

A workaround for both scenarios is to manually remove the old name and add the Monitoring Group using its new name.

Resolution

This is a known issue and will be resolved in a future version.
