Summary

Customer’s upgrading or installing Argent Exchange Monitor 8.0A-0701 may be able to test MAPI-based Rules (RTT, MAPI Logon/Logoff) successfully, but when put into production, the Relators fail with message OpenMsgStore failed.

Technical Background

The Argent Exchange Monitor undergoes a database schema change across the boundary from 8.0A-0610-T2 to 0701. The upgrade process has an issue that prevents the necessary upgrade of the schema.

Resolution

Disable Turbo Mode by changing the following Registry Entry:

HKLM\Software\Argent\ArgentExchangeMonitor\TURBO_MONITORING

from the default of 1 to 0
