KBI 310219 Event Status Remains Unanswered With Condition Corrected If Fail Rule If Data Is Unavailable Or Nonexistent Is Used

Version

Argent Extended Technology — All versions

Date

3 Sep 2010

Summary

You create a performance rule, and check the setting “Fail Rule If Data Is Unavailable Or Nonexistent”.

You include this rule in a production relator. The relator is configured to set the event status to “Answered” if the condition no longer exists.

The relator correctly detects a failure condition if the data is unavailable/nonexistent. However, if the data becomes available again, the event status remains “Unanswered” in the Argent Alert Console.
