Configure This Screen

The Configuration screen is used to configure global and user-specific settings that affect your Argent Commander experience.

General

Log Debug Level

This option changes the level of detail in {Username}_LOG.TXT.

The logs are located in the LOGS folder of Argent Commander’s installed directory.

Note: Setting the Log Debug Level to Highly Detailed causes the log to grow very large, and should only be used under advice of Argent Support.

Changing the Log Debug Level is only accessible by users with Administer Security Manager privileges.

Display Loading Effects

When transitioning from page to page, you will notice a “Loading” progress bar. Some browsers provide poor progress information to users, so we’ve simply created our own. You can turn this on or off.

Auto-Refresh

Some pages, like the Instant Access view, provide useful snapshots of individual servers. While a manual Refresh button exists on all modules, you can use this option to automatically refresh the page every certain number of seconds.

Displayed Modules

This area provides another method of rearranging and choosing the modules that should appear on your page.

Modules under the Available list are not included in the page, while modules under the Included list are, like its namesake, included in the page.

State-of-the-art Web 2.0 drag-and-drop technology is used to move modules between the two lists, just drag a module from one list to the other.

For the CeoConsole, SuperMaps and Enterprise Application Views — there is a straightforward section allowing you to add or remove extra modules from the page.

Additionally, customers can undo and redo drag-and-drop actions while arranging the modules.

When configuring node drill-downs, the list of modules also show the options and parameters for each module

Customers can also save and restore from previously saved Performance Matrices on this page

More importantly, for node drill-down pages, customers can apply a layout across multiple nodes all at once

The selection allows:

* All Nodes

* All Nodes of a certain type (Windows, AIX, HPUX, ESX Hosts, etc.)

* All Nodes belonging to a specific Monitoring Group

* Specific named nodes (comma-delimited)
