Summary

URL monitoring could fail with error ‘Server Certificate Verification Failed. Connection Aborted’. It happens when executing a connectivity test or running System Down Rule or Website Availability Rule.

This is caused by the invalid website certificate. For example, the certificate has expired or is self-signed.


Users might not care about the certificate issue. Users might only want to check if the website is up. In this case, users can set CMDB-X property ‘Accept Any Certificate’ to Yes.

Technical Background

When property ‘Accept Any Certificate’ is set to Yes, the certificate issues are ignored and the Argent Omega Generator continues to retrieve web site content.
