Summary

SMS protocol limits message length to 160 bytes

However, many mobile services today can handle long message transparently to end user

Internally, the message is broken into multiple 160-byte short messages to send out

These short messages are related with some unique identifier

When the short messages arrive, user device such as iPhone can assemble them into the original long message before presenting to end user

As a result, when user finds the alert text is truncated, which is typical if full Event detail is included, it is worthy increasing the text limit in Argent AT, and test out if the mobile service can handle it

It can be done in Argent Console Engine setting by setting limit to 9,999
