Summary

Upgrading TLS to version1.2 without making required changes in the configuration of Argent products, shall end up with unforeseen issues

Technical Background

Argent Advanced Technology, Argent Commander, Argent Reports, Argent Global Manager, Argent Job Scheduler and Argent WorldView all uses ODBC for database connectivity

If the ODBC driver used for creating the DSN is ‘SQL Server’ for any of the products, database connectivity is a problem under TLS v1.2 as ODBC driver ‘SQL Server’ won’t support TLS v1.2

Utmost care has to be taken to update the Argent product configuration before upgrading to TLS v1.2
