Summary

Due to Microsoft Server limitations Argent Reports may fail to run PDF reports with the following error

HTTP Error 404.17 – Not Found The requested content appears to be script and will not be served by the static file handler

Technical Background

Argent Reports fails to run PDF reports due to a limitation in Microsoft Server concerning Internet Information Services (IIS)

IIS needs to configured to use “.NET CLR Version 2.*”

Resolution

1. Open Internet Information Services (IIS) Manager

2. Expand Application Pools under Server

3. Update Argent_Reports_PDF_ASP_NET to use “.NET CLR Version 2.*”
