Summary

Argent AT Engines can now be configured to recycle at midnight (default), or any other time, or not to recycle at all

Technical Background

Argent AT Engine uses recycling to reclaim any potential Microsoft resource leakage, such as handle leakage

The default midnight recycling works for majority of cases

But it may become an issue in following situations:

1. Server is loaded with a lot of Argent AT products with heavy monitoring tasks

   When all Engines attempt to recycle at the same time, it can further stress the system

2. Large Argent Non-Stop Monitoring installation with a lot of Motors

   When all Motors attempt to recycle at the same time, it can put a lot of pressure on SQL Server backend

3. A lot of tasks are scheduled during midnight

   The tasks can be delayed or even skipped due to the recycling

Customers can use the new feature to schedule recycling of Engines during different time or different date so that the load can be evenly distributed
