Summary
Customer may want to exclude some Rules for Argent SuperMaps
He can do so at definition of Argent SuperMaps
But up to Argent AT 3.1A-1404-A, the Excluded Rules was Global that apply to all Argent SuperMaps
It prevents customer from customizing individual Argent SuperMap
In the meantime, Global Excluded Rules are also valuable for some situations
For example, customer may set up a heartbeat Rule checking system uptime always greater than a day, and running the Rule against each vital server once a day
If Customer receives an Email Alert for the server, it means the server has been up in past 24 hours
Though the Rule is broken, it is not an abnormal condition
Though he expects to see the Email Alert, he does not want the Event shows up as a red dot on Argent Console A1X screens
To accomplish this, customer can use Global Excluded Rules to exclude such a Rule
Argent AT 3.1A-1404-T3 addresses the issue by supporting both scenarios
