Summary

When customer turns on Turbo Mode for Argent for VMware, the setting is only changed on Supervising Engine (Mother or Daughter Engine)

The setting does not get propagated to the associated Trusted Agents

As a result, the Trusted Agents continue to run VMware Rules without using Turbo Mode, which can cause high CPU usage on Trusted Agents

Technical Background

The Turbo Mode is controlled by registry HKLM\Software\ARGENT_FOR_VMWARE\TURBO_MODE

Turbo Mode is turned ON if the value is 1

The issue has been addressed in Argent for VMware 3.1A-1404-T3

Resolution

Upgrade to Argent for VMware 3.1A-1404-T3 or later

For customer who cannot upgrade immediately, he can manually edit the registry HKLM\Software\ARGENT_FOR_VMWARE\TURBO_MODE to value 1 on each Trusted Agent
