Summary

SNMP metrics are retrieved through OID, which is generally not organized

The default Argent Predictor data has fixed object name ‘SNMP‘ and counter name ‘SNMP Metric‘

As results, customer can only use the instance name to differentiate the saved data

It can become very much unorganized when there are hundreds even thousands of saved SNMP metrics

Argent for SNMP 3.1A-1404-T3 is enhanced to allow custom object and counter names

The typical SNMP metrics can be grouped under object names such as ‘Cpu‘, ‘Memory‘, ‘Network‘ etc

And subgroups can be created as counter name to further organize the saved metrics
