Summary

When Argent AT products are first installed, Argent AT Supervising Engines are configured to recycle in different time by default

The product’s recycling times are 30 minutes apart

This can greatly reduce the resource consumption compared to the case that all Supervising Engines recycle at the same time of midnight

The default recycling times for Argent AT Supervising Engines are listed as follows:

  • Argent Console

Technical Background

When Supervising Engine recycles, it needs to read the database, purge obsolete data and initialize internal data structures

It can consume quite some system resource, especially hitting SQL Server hard

Staggered Recycle Times can spread the load across the time line
