Version

Date

Summary
Scheduled Monitoring Task screen at Mother Engine may show some very old entries that were assigned to Daughter Engine but no longer scheduled
The task status can be any of Cancelled, Pending, Running or Ready
The issue has been addressed in Argent AT 3.1A-1504-T6
Technical Background
When a task is assigned to run at a Daughter Engine, it is the Daughter Engine not the Mother Engine maintains the task status
The Daughter Engine periodically uploads the latest status of tasks scheduled at the Daughter Engine to Mother Engine
Mother Engine simply copies the uploaded data to job watermark SQL table
When a task is first scheduled at a Daughter Engine, the task will show up in Scheduled Monitoring Task screen when Daughter Engine uploads the task status
However, if the Relator is changed and the task is no longer assigned to the Daughter Engine, Daughter Engine re-initializes the scheduled tasks, and the old task will no longer present in the uploaded task status information
As a result, the old task entry in job watermark SQL table becomes ‘orphan’ and is no longer updated or removed
