KBI 311803 Issue Addressed: Unable To Search Sub-Directories For A File Or Folder With A Specific Object Name

Version

Argent Advanced Technology 5.1A-2001-A and below

Date

Wednesday, 15 April 2020

Summary

Currently, a System File Rule has the option “Do Not Traverse Sub-Directories”

When it is not checked, the Argent Guardian Ultra Engine is supposed to search the whole directory tree to find the object

For example, a user needs to search for a folder called “FAILED” somewhere under C:\TEMP and there is such a folder in the path C:\TEMP\FOLDER1\FAILED

A Rule using the path “C:\TEMP\FAILED” and “Do Not Traverse Sub-Directories” option unchecked should be able to find the object

However, due to a coding error, the Engine failed to do so

The issue has been addressed in Argent AT 5.1A-2004-A
