Summary

The Windows Update Service Rule in Argent Guardian Ultra can track all installed MSI packages at monitored machines

It can alert on newly installed MSI packages and save MSI information in a SQL table

ARGSOFT_ARGENT_GUARDIAN_ULTRA_MSI for reporting

The Argent Guardian Ultra Engine saves new MSI information in a database

However, if an MSI package was detected earlier, and then upgraded to a newer version, the Argent Guardian Ultra Engine did not treat this as a new MSI and did not update the database

As a result, the Argent Guardian Ultra would report only the old MSI version, even though the MSI has been updated

The issue has been addressed in Argent AT 5.1A-2010-A
