Version

Argent Commander 5.0A-1809-B and above

Date

Wednesday, 12 September 2018

Summary

Several known security vulnerabilities have been reported against Secure Socket Layer (SSL) and earlier versions of Transport Layer Security (TLS)

Due to this, many customers are being required by security auditors to upgrade to TLS 1.2 version for secure communication

Argent Commander 5.0A-1809-B has been enhanced to support TLS 1.2

Technical Background

Argent Commander now uses the same ODBC Driver used by Argent Advanced Technology for SQL Server

This ensures that Argent Commander works fine in an environment where Argent Advanced Technology is installed with TLS1.2 support
