Summary

Argent WorldView has been enhanced with Alerts in Control Panel screen

Technical Background

Argent WorldView now has the Alerts screen to configure Alerts from Argent WorldView itself

There are 6 different categories of Alerts available

1. Email
2. Pager
3. Bell
4. Windows Message
5. Argent Console Alert
6. Run Command

There are 3 different priorities available for each Alert

1. Low
2. Medium
3. High

1. Email
   

   Send email messages through either the local Exchange client, Lotus Notes or using SMTP

   Send pages to either a numeric or alphanumeric pager

   Activate the system bell on the server that the Argent Job Scheduler is running on

   Send console messages to a user or to all members of a sender group

   Using Argent Console is the most effective and recommended method to fire Alerts, because it has complete Alert Escalation and supports 15 different types of Alerts
