Date

Summary

Argent Advanced Technology has been enhanced with a new Rule ‘Average Latch Wait Rules‘ in Argent for SQL Server to calculate average latch wait time in milliseconds

Example 1:

Average Latch Wait Rules‘ calculate average latch wait time for latch requests that had to wait. Rule ‘AVG_LATCH_WAITS_PER_SEC_SQL2008_ACCEPTABLE_OPERATION‘ is broken if the average latch wait time for latch request is less than 100 milliseconds

Example 2:

Average Latch Wait Rules‘ calculate average latch wait time for latch requests that had to wait. Rule ‘AVG_LATCH_WAITS_PER_SEC_SQL2008_AT_LIMIT‘ is broken if the average latch wait time for latch request is between 299.99 and 300.01 milliseconds

Example 3:

Average Latch Wait Rules‘ calculate average latch wait time for latch requests that had to wait. Rule ‘AVG_LATCH_WAITS_PER_SEC_SQL2008_EXCEEDING_LIMIT‘ is broken if the average latch wait time for latch request is between 300 and 500 milliseconds
