KBI 310500 Issue Addressed: Wildcard Not Working When Checking iSeries Subsystem and Job Queue Length

Version

Argent Advanced Technology 3.1A-1304-L and earlier versions

Date

Tuesday, 21 May 2013

Summary

When wildcard is used in iSeries Status Rule checking iSeries subsystem, the wildcard does not match any returned subsystems

Similarly, wildcards used for queue names to check the queue length also do not match any returned queues when a wildcard is used

Technical Background

Argent AT Engine expects the wildcard to match the full name of subsystem in the format of LIB/SUBSYSTEM. When wildcard is only specified to match the subsystem name, no subsystem will match

AT 3.1A-1307 is enhanced to handle both cases. If separator ‘/‘ is found, it is used to match the full name; if not found, it is used to match the subsystem name only

For queue names — this has been addressed as well

Resolution

Upgrade To 3.1A-1307 or later
