Summary

When a node is suspended, customers can check the option ‘Continue Monitoring Without Firing Alerts’, which is a new feature introduced in Argent AT 3.1A-1304-L.

Technical Background

With this option, the event is still added to the Argent Console although alerts are suppressed.

Since the events are added, customers may expect the alerts will be auto corrected too. Unfortunately, the escalation sequence is DISABLED due to the Suspend Mode.

As a result, the auto correction will not be possible.

Resolution

Upgrade To Argent AT 3.1A-1307

Note: If the node is suspended without the option ‘Continue Monitoring Without Firing Alerts’, any escalation for the node will be purged, and any outstanding events about the node will not be auto-corrected. This is by design.
