KBI 310611 New Feature: Relator Triggers

Version

Argent Advanced Technology 3.1A-1308-A and above

Date

Monday, 29 Jul 2013

Summary

This feature allows a Relator trigger another Relator when rule is broken for some nodes

Technical Background

Customers can use this feature to run a Relator on the condition of another Relator.

It can be very useful for root cause analysis.

For example, when an IIS server times out serving a page, a Relator can be triggered to test the IIS server network usage, overloaded processors, low free space etc.

When defining the Relator trigger, customers can optionally just run the Relator on the node that broke the Rule, or on ALL nodes included in the Relator.

Customers can also optionally set Relators to run just once, or repetitively for a period of time.

Resolution

Upgrade to Argent Advanced Technology 3.1A-1308-A and above.
