Summary
Argent Job Scheduler has been enhanced with an option to send Alert if the Job Scheduler fails to contact any of its Queue Engines
Technical Background
The new feature facilitates sending Alert if Job Scheduler loses connection with any of its Queue Engines
A new check box has been added under the tab ‘Scheduling Service Internals‘ in the screen ‘Configuration Options‘
The option when checked, will fire the configured Alert if the Job Scheduler fails to establish a connection with any of its Queue Engines for the specified time
The name of the Queue Engine to which the connection was lost can be passed to the Alert using ‘%Variable‘
In the above example, The Scheduling Engine will fire the Alert ‘ALERT2‘ if it loses connection with any of its Queue Engine for more than 3 minutes
The name of the Queue Engine may be added to the Alert message using %Variable
