Summary

Addressed the issue that the Main Scheduling Engine not going down automatically after detecting the Main Database down

Technical Background

When the Main Database goes down, the Main Scheduling Engine waits for a specified time for it to come back online

When Main Scheduling Engine fails to detect the Main Database up even after the specified time, it should go down automatically

However in prior versions, this does not happen

Even though the Log says the Main Engine service will be shut down in 15 minutes, it keeps waiting indefinitely

As a result, the backup Scheduling Engine fails to take over scheduling with the Backup Database

This issue has been addressed

Hence, in version 10.0A-1501-A and above, when the Main Database goes down, the Main Scheduling Engine service goes down automatically and the Backup Scheduling Engine takes over scheduling with Backup Database as expected

Upgrade to Argent Job Scheduler 10.0A-1501-A or above
