The easiest and most effective way to test connectivity between your Argent engines is to use the standard Telnet utility that comes with Windows

For example, assume the Argent Console Client is installed at 10.1.1.1, and a main Argent Console server at 192.168.1.10

Use the following command to verify the connectivity

telnet 192.168.1.10 3100

If the Argent Console Client cannot connect to the Argent Console service alerts will not be fired

Next, verify the Argent Guardian Scheduling Engine can push out information to the remote Argent Guardian Monitoring Engine

telnet <Argent Guardian Monitoring Engine> 3190
