Summary
Argent for SQL Server has been enhanced with a new Rule category ‘In Process Runaway Query Rules’ for monitoring runaway queries among currently executing queries
It also provides an option to filter system queries
Technical Background
The ‘In Process Runaway Query Rule’ checks for runaway queries among currently executing queries
It will provide alert corresponding to all running queries whose execution time exceeds the specified threshold value
It also provides an option ‘Exclude System Queries’ to filter system queries
If this option is selected, system queries are excluded from monitoring

This Rule provides information such as SQL query text, Query start time, duration, database name etc along with the Alert message
