Summary
In Argent Job Scheduler, jobs get randomly stalled in ‘Pending’ state due exceeding the number of maximum running jobs
Technical Background
By default Argent Scheduler has a maximum running job threshold of 100
By default Argent Queue Engine has a maximum running job threshold of 100
By default each individual queue in Argent Queue Engine has a maximum running job threshold of 10

Resolution
1. Increase Argent Scheduler configuration settings of “Running Job Threshold”, “Per-Loop Processing Threshold” and “Job Processing Thread Limit”
Settings are found under Settings > Configuration Options > Times
2. Increase Argent Queue Engine server settings “Maximum Executing Jobs” and “Maximum Job Processes”
Settings are found under Administration > General
3. Increase Argent Queue Engine queue settings “Maximum Executing and Pending Jobs” and “Maximum Executing Jobs”
Settings are found under “Queues And Jobs” > QueueName > Properties
