Summary
The Email Configuration option for ‘Email profile is under account different from service account’ does not work when using a gMSA account for the Argent service account.
Technical Background
When the Argent Job Scheduler service is installed using a gMSA account, the option for ‘Email profile is under account different from service account’ configured in the ‘Email Options’ tab of the Argent Job Scheduler GUI as shown below does not work:
To address this issue, a new process ARGSOFT_TEST_EMAIL_SEND.EXE has been introduced
When the option for ‘Use Free Standing Email Sending Process’ is selected along with the option for ‘Email profile is under account different from service account’, the Argent Job Scheduler GUI will use this new process for sending emails.
This process is spawned under the specified user account and the email will send to the specified destination address.

Upgrade to Argent Job Scheduler 10.0-2110-A or above
