Summary

Argent AT uses SMS Alert to notify critical issues

It is important to make sure SMS modem working all the time

Just like other hardware issues, SMS Modem may suddenly stop functioning for various reasons

To name a few, power outage, lost carrier signal, expired SIM card, modem driver glitches, etc

It has been reported that some USB connected GSM modem can suddenly stop working until customer manually unplug and plug the modem again

Unfortunately it was difficult to notice such issue for customer other than not receiving SMS Alerts for some time or reviewing Service Log

Argent AT 3.1A-1501-A implements new Internal Event for not working GMS modem/phone

Argent Console Engine fires the Event when it cannot connect to the SMS modem
