Addressed the issue that Web Site Reliability Rules in Argent Sentry Ultra fail to detect broken links, when using DHTML method
Technical Background
The ‘Web Site Reliability Rules‘ in Argent Sentry Ultra check for any broken links, using the dynamic HTML or Internet explorer scanning methods
In the versions below Argent AT 3.1A-1401-A, the Rules fail to detect the broken links with DHTML method for websites; however, it works fine with internet explorer method
For example, when executing the Web Site Reliability Rule
ASU_WS_RELIABILITY_CHECK_ALL using the DHTML scanning method, against a website with a broken link, the Rule does not get broken
A sample log file is shown below
Even though the log file says a ‘Page or file not found‘ error, the Rule is not be broken
This was a coding issue and it has been addressed
Resolution
Upgrade to Argent Advanced Technology 3.1A-1401-A or above
