KBI 310894 Issue Addressed: Node Suspension With Continue Monitoring Does Not Expire Automatically
Version
Argent Advanced Technology 3.1A-1401-E or below
Date
Tuesday, 25 Mar 2014
Summary
If node is suspended with option ‘Continue Monitoring Without Firing Alerts‘ checked, the node suspension does not automatically expire as specified
Technical Background
Node suspension mode is controlled by column ‘SUSPEND‘ in SQL Table ARGSOFT_AT_NODE
A suspended node has non-zero value in this column
The value is 1 if the option ‘Continue Monitoring Without Firing Alerts‘ is not checked, 2 if the option is checked
Argent Console Engine has an internal logic resetting such column when suspension expires
Unfortunately it only resets nodes with criteria ‘SUSPEND=1‘
It completely leaves out the nodes suspended with option ‘Continue Monitoring Without Firing Alerts‘ checked
The issue is addressed in Argent AT 3.1A-1401-T5
Resolution
Upgrade to Argent Advanced Technology 3.1A-1401-T5 or later
