Summary
System Down Rule in Argent Guardian Ultra has an option to check up/down status by connecting to the Remote Desktop service at target machine
It is not working properly for Windows versions after W2003 SP5
Argent has added code to address this Microsoft bug in Argent AT 3.1A-1410-A
Technical Background
API ‘WTSOpenServer‘ is used to connect to the Remote Desktop service of target machine
It should returns NULL if Remote Desktop service is not available
In W2003 SP5 and later, the API behavior has changed
According to Microsoft Technet, the API will return an invalid handle, it is caller’s responsibility to find if the handle is valid or not by using it in another API call
Argent has been enhanced to handle this Microsoft bug

Upgrade to Argent Advanced Technology 3.1A-1410-A or later
