KBI 311156 New Feature: Repeated Escalation

Version

Argent Advanced Technology 3.1A-1501-B or later

Date

Friday, 16 Jan 2015

Summary

Customer can define a sequence of Escalation in Relator

Escalation is fired when Event is answered or resolved after the specified period of time

In previous versions, the escalation is removed from sequence after it is fired

After all escalations are completed, the Event will become quiet even the condition still persists

When the Rule does not use the option ‘Post Event Even If The Same Event Is Still Outstanding’ , there will be no new Events either as the existing one has not been answered

As a result, the Administrator may not notice the condition for a long period of time, if he misses the initial Alerts and all subsequent escalations for some reason

It is not acceptable for some critical conditions

Argent AT 3.1A-1501-B implements the new feature of Repeated Escalation

The escalation can repeat with specified interval until the Event is answered or resolved

By this way, the critical conditions will never be ignored again
