Summary
When customer set Test option ‘Ping Web Server And Do NOT Run Sessions If It Is Inaccessible’, the Test fires Alert of ping error each time it runs
The Event detail is as follows:
It takes xxxx (> 0) seconds to ping destination address ‘xxxx’
It seems like the response time limit is wrongly set to zero though it is not checked
The issue has been addressed in Argent Defender 3.1A-1501-T4
Technical Background
It is a coding error
Resolution
Upgrade to Argent AT 3.1A-1501-T4 or later
For customer who cannot upgrade immediately, he can use the option ‘Over xxxx Seconds To Ping The Web Server’ and set a reasonable timeout value such as 30 seconds
