Summary
In DeviceMagic, customer can select ports to be not monitored by setting ‘Ignore Port Status’ flags
It is a very useful feature for monitoring big switches, which might have only small portion of ports are actually used
However, if the switch is monitored by a Daughter Engine, the setting is not propagated to Daughter Engine
As a result, Events continue being fired for these unused ports
The issue has been addressed in Argent AT 3.1A-1510-A
Technical Background
The original Mother/Daughter communication protocol does not the capability to propagate the user setting information
The protocol has been enhanced in Argent AT 3.1A-1510-A

Upgrade to Argent AT 3.1A-1510-A or later
