Summary

Argent for SQL Server has been enhanced with a new Rule category ‘Database Fragmentation Details Reporting Only Rules’ for the reporting of database index fragmentation statistics

Technical Background

The ‘Database Fragmentation Details Reporting Only Rule’ saves the database index fragmentation details like database name, table name, index name, index type, index size, fragmentation percentage etc. to the database table named

‘ARGSOFT_SQL_SERVER_DB_FRAG_DETAILS’

Argent Reports can use this table data for reporting purpose

There is an option to save the fragmentation statistics of specific databases by specifying the database names in Include/Exclude fields

There is an option named ‘Days To Keep Old Data’, that deletes all records older than specified number of days
