Summary

Argent Job Scheduler has been enhanced with a new tab ‘Log Settings‘ in the ‘Configuration Options‘ screen to consolidate all log settings

Technical Background

In versions prior to 1411-A, the log settings are split across different tabs of ‘Configuration Options‘ screen

To consolidate all the log settings under a single tab, the ‘Log file root path control‘ tab has been renamed to ‘Log Settings‘ and moved all relative log settings from tabs ‘Rollover And Archiving‘ and ‘System Options‘ to the new ‘Log Settings‘ Tab

Delete Scheduling Engine Job Logs Older Than A Specified Period

The option ‘Delete Archived Job Logs Older Than‘ in the tab ‘Log Settings‘ permits to delete the Scheduling Engine Job Logs files older than a specified period

By setting ‘Delete Archived Job Logs Older Than‘ with any one of the four available period options; Days, Week, Month or Year the Job Log files older than the specified period get deleted from the installed folder (For eg: C:\Argent\SchedulingEngine\DBF\History\JobLog)

Delete Scheduling Engine System Logs Older Than A Specified Period

The option ‘Delete Prior System Log Older Than‘ in the tab ‘Log Settings‘ permits to delete the Scheduling Engine System Log files older than a specified period

The option ‘Delete Prior System Log‘ allows deleting the System Log files older than the specified period, from the installed folder (For eg: C:\Argent\SchedulingEngine\LOGS)

Delete Scheduling Engine System Logs Other Than Last ‘n’ Files

The option ‘Delete Prior System Log Other Than Last ‘n‘ Files‘ in the ‘Configuration Options‘ screen allows deleting System Logs other than last ‘n‘ files

After Rollover, only the specified number of newer System Log files will be retained in the installed folder (C:\Argent\SchedulingEngine\LOGS)

Note: For all the three options above, the files will be deleted only after Archiving occurs through an Automatic or Manual Rollover
