KBI 310547 New Feature: Argent AT Maintenance and Startup Scripts
Version
Argent AT 3.1A-1307-A or above
Date
Tue, 25 Jun 2013
Summary
The Argent XT feature of maintenance and startup scripts have been re-introduced into Argent AT products.
Technical Background
When the Argent AT Supervising Engine starts, it looks for, and runs a batch file named {PRODUCT_PREFIX}_AUTOEXEC.BAT, if the file is present at the home directory.
A similar batch file, {PRODUCT_PREFIX}_MAINTENANCE.BAT, runs at a fixed interval.
The Registry ‘HKLM\SOFTWARE\Argent\{PRODUCT}\MAINT_SCRIPT_INTERVAL’ controls the interval of {PRODUCT_PREFIX}_MAINTENANCE.BAT.
The maintenance script won’t be executed if the script file does not exist, or if the registry value is 0.
The minimum non-zero registry value is 600 (10 minutes). Maximum is 86400 (1 day).
Resolution
Upgrade to Argent AT 3.1A-1307 or above
