Summary

Argent for SQL Server is enhanced with an option to use NetBIOS name to connect to SQL Servers when specifying dummy name in licensed Node name

Technical Background

Certain customers use custom names for servers instead of specifying their original name in licensed Node names

In prior versions of Argent Advanced Technology, connection to SQL Server with custom name was not possible

The following error was displayed when testing the connectivity even though NetBIOS name was specified correctly

In Argent AT version 1407-A, if dummy licensed Node names are used, NetBIOS Name can be set to establish the connection to the SQL Server
