Summary

Argent Advanced Technology has been enhanced the Rule category ‘Daily Database Backup Rules’ in Argent for SQL Server with a provision to exclude user specified databases from checking

Example:

‘Daily Database Backup Rules’ checks whether the database last backup time exceeds the limit in all versions

Rule ‘DB_BACKUP_SQL2008_EXCEEDING_LIMIT’ is broken if last backup time of any database in the server is due over 4 days

Use this option to exclude specific databases from checking

Wildcards are also allowed to specify a group of databases

For example: AT_*, XT* will exclude AT_DB_001, AT_TEST, XT001_DB, XT_DB_DE etc from checking

Technical Background

‘Daily Database Backup Rules’ monitors the database last backup time of each database in an SQL Server

Argent for SQL Server provides the user an option to exclude specific databases or a group of databases (using wildcards) from checking
