Summary
Argent for SQL Server has been enhanced with a new Rule category ‘SQL Deadlock Reporting Only Rules’ for the reporting of SQL server deadlocks
Technical Background
The ‘SQL Deadlock Reporting Only Rules’ saves the SQL server deadlock statistics such as locked process name, database name, locked object name, SQL query used, SQL login name, host name etc. to the database table named ‘ARGSOFT_SQL_SERVER_DEADLOCK_RPT’
Argent Reports can use this table for reporting
There is an option to save the statistics of deadlocks affected to specific databases by specifying the database names in Include/Exclude fields
There is an option named ‘Days To Keep Old Data’, that deletes all records older than specified number of days
